Interfine 979 is a premium, two-component acrylic polysiloxane finish that excels as a cosmetic protective coating across a variety of demanding applications. This advanced formulation is particularly suited for use in above-water areas of new constructions and significant refurbishments, making it ideal for high-performance environments such as bridges, offshore structures, and tank farms.

Designed to deliver an exceptional, enduring finish, Interfine 979 boasts remarkable gloss and colour retention properties. It notably surpasses the performance capabilities of conventional polyurethane and first-generation epoxy-modified polysiloxane finishes, ensuring that surfaces maintain their aesthetic appeal over time.

This innovative coating is widely used in maritime applications, particularly for the above-water sections of ships and marine installations, where it provides not only visual enhancement but also robust corrosion resistance. Its use is highly desirable in industrial and commercial steel structures that require both a high standard of cosmetic performance and exceptional durability.

Interfine 979 demonstrates its versatility in diverse structural applications, including critical infrastructures like bridges and offshore platforms, where the combination of durability and visual appeal is essential for both safety and design integrity. Furthermore, it functions effectively as a barrier coat, akin to traditional epoxy intermediates, allowing for a streamlined application process by potentially reducing the total number of coats required in multi-coat systems. This efficiency makes Interfine 979 an invaluable choice for professionals seeking superior results in demanding environmental conditions.
