AMERLOCK 2 HARDENER COSHH Assessment Form

A three-page COSHH Assessment Form for AMERLOCK 2 HARDENER with some sample text reading:
First aid details:
After significant accidental inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air at once. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
After contact with eyes: Do not rub eyes, as additional cornea damage is possible by mechanical stress. Remove any contact lenses and open the eyelid(s) widely to flush eye(s) immediately by thoroughly rinsing with plenty of clean water for at least 15 minutes. If possible, use isotonic water (0.9% NaCl). Contact a specialist in occupational medicine or an eye specialist.
After skin contact: Remove contaminated clothjing and rinse abundantly with water. Get medical attention if irritation persists after washing.
After significant accidental ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Give plenty of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately.
AMERLOCK 2 Hardener is a crucial component of the AMERLOCK 2 epoxy coating system, renowned for its exceptional performance in a wide range of industrial and infrastructural applications. This high-solids epoxy hardener is designed to provide protection and durability, making it suitable for environments where resilience is necessary.
As part of a two-component epoxy system, AMERLOCK 2 Hardener is combined with AMERLOCK 2 Resin to create a comprehensive coating solution. This combination ensures optimal performance characteristics and contributes to the overall effectiveness of the epoxy system.
The versatility of AMERLOCK 2 Hardener enables its application in various contexts, including industrial facilities, bridges, tank exteriors, and marine environments. Its formulation is beneficial in locations that require superior protection against environmental stressors and wear.
AMERLOCK 2 is designed for ease of application, enabling it to be applied to a wide range of surfaces, even those with minimal preparation. This feature reduces downtime and enhances operational efficiency during the application process.
Additionally, the coating's ability to cure at low temperatures, down to 0°c (32°f), enhances its versatility, making it suitable for various climatic conditions and application scenarios. This characteristic is useful for projects in regions with cooler temperatures where traditional coatings may not perform adequately.
Applications of AMERLOCK 2 include bulk rail lining, direct-to-metal (DTM) exterior coating, and protective measures for steel, concrete, masonry, and other substrates. Its protective qualities help ensure the longevity and integrity of structures exposed to harsh conditions.
AMERLOCK 2 hardener is a vital component of a two-part epoxy coating system, specifically engineered for a wide range of industrial and maintenance applications. This hardener plays a crucial role by chemically reacting with the corresponding resin component to initiate and accelerate the curing process, resulting in a robust and resilient coating.
Once cured, the epoxy forms a thick, durable layer that offers exceptional protection for steel structures in various challenging environments. Its application is particularly beneficial in industrial facilities, bridges, storage tanks, and other settings where exposure to harsh chemicals, extreme weather conditions, and physical wear and tear is common.
The AMERLOCK 2 system is designed not just for optimal adhesion and longevity but also for resistance against corrosion, abrasion, and impact, making it a top choice for safeguarding vital infrastructure and extending the lifespan of structural components.
