Fire details:

Flammable liquid and vapour.  Runoff to the sewer may create a fire or explosion hazard. In a fire or when heated, a pressure increase will occur, and the container may burst, posing a risk of a subsequent explosion. Decomposition products may include the following materials: carbon oxides. Promptly isolate the scene by removing all persons from the vicinity of the incident if there is a fire.  No action that involves any personal risk or is taken without suitable training shall be taken.  Move containers from the fire area if it can be done safely. Use water spray to keep fire-exposed containers cool. Firefighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full-facepiece in positive-pressure mode.

PPG SigmaCover 400 is a high-performance, two-component epoxy coating characterised by its high solids content, specifically engineered to provide robust protection for steel and concrete surfaces against both chemical damage and corrosion. This versatile coating is suitable for various industrial and commercial applications, serving effectively in interior and exterior environments.

A distinctive feature of SigmaCover 400 is its exceptional resistance to various aggressive substances. It protects against chemical spillages, splashes, and corrosive fumes from acids, alkalis, solvents, and water. Consequently, it is ideal for facilities exposed to harsh and demanding conditions.

SigmaCover 400 protects steel and concrete substrates from environmental threats, including weathering, chemical attacks, and adverse atmospheric conditions. It is particularly suited for challenging environments such as chemical processing plants, fuel storage facilities, and storage tanks, where durability and reliability are critical.

This coating is specifically recommended for lining exterior bunds containing chemicals, fuels, and acids, thereby preventing leaks and mitigating potential environmental damage. Its application extends to various structures, including industrial floors, pipelines, structural steel, bridges, tank exteriors, and various types of containers.

A significant advantage of SigmaCover 400 is its self-priming capability, which streamlines the application process by eliminating the need for a separate primer in numerous scenarios. It can effectively apply to prepared damp surfaces and demonstrates excellent adhesion to previously applied coatings.

Moreover, SigmaCover 400 complies with stringent standards, such as NSF Standard 61 for potable water applications. It is qualified for Nuclear Coating Service Level II areas within specific manufacturing environments, highlighting its reliability and safety for use in sensitive applications.
